Badminton Coach
Coach Prell's first experience playing indoor competitive badminton on the Century League Champion Tustin High School Badminton Team led to him placing second in CIF doubles competition in both his junior and senior years of high school.
After a two decade break, Coach Prell picked up his racquet again when asked to launch Tustin Pioneer Badminton Club in 2004 with fellow badminton enthusiast and Pioneer Middle School parent, Kurtis Hardi.
Recently, Mr. Prell trained with 2000 World Badminton Champion, Halim Haryanto Ho, at the Orange County Badminton Club in Orange, California, with his doubles partner, Paul Wong, another TPBC coach. His involvement with badminton continues as Coach Prell competes as an amateur in mens doubles in both informal and USAB-sanctioned tournaments.
