Since my teens, I've had a passion for learning and guiding communities of learners of all ages. Teaching has been my dream job since age 6! As a result, I devoted just over two decades to teaching middle school Language Arts and Social Studies. Before my teaching career, I raised two children with Mr. Prell: Jordan and Leanna, who are now in their thirties.
Other courses I've taught in public education include strategic math, strategic reading, AVID 6, and ELD (English Language Development). As an educator, I've served on several leadership teams (department chair and digital learning coach for the school district). As an Academic Coach in private practice since 2010, I've helped students develop strategic learning techniques and critical reading, writing, and vocabulary skills.
Inspirational teachers throughout my childhood encouraged my love of learning. Consequently, many of my methods are the result of observing, adopting, and adapting best instructional practices as well as applying current research in education.
What an honor to work with truly amazing educators! In 2010, my colleagues recognized me as a "Teacher of the Year". I'm glad I had the chance to represent such a noble profession.
Today, I am retired with fond memories. Into my golden years, I will continue to offer years of experience as a teacher to youth around the world.

Retired from a 34-year local government career in Information Technology, Mr. Prell also enjoys reading and spending time with family, including an adorable grandson, Benny! He also works out regularly and stays active maintaining and beautifying our lovely home.
